Video Journaling as a Healing Modality
Social media has created more disconnect amongst human beings as we become more and more connected with our devices than with people. Is disconnection the root of existential loneliness? Can existential loneliness be healed? Will connectedness with ourselves heal our cultural discord? How can the very thing (that is, technology) driving us apart help us feel more connected with ourselves and with one another?
Dream Weavers, Explorers, Artists, Change Makers:
Come explore and experiment with us.
It is time we align our ability to take our dreams and turn them into actions that awaken the world.
What to expect in the workshop:
4:30 - 5:30pm Room 505 - Filming of your own message
5:30 - 7:00pm Room 550 - Workshop & Discussion
Each participant will receive a one-on-one filmed video journaling session with Aliss Wang. Once registered, you will be contacted to sign up for a 5 minute appointment between 4:30 - 5:30pm for the day of the workshop.
We will use our personal experiences in comparison with previously filmed journal entries in the second half of the workshop to explore and understand what makes the phenomenon of video journaling an effective healing modality.
