A 'Gamephreaks' Event
At this in-person gameshow-style event, you'll blind taste six different spirits and decide: Is it whiskey? After a brief introduction from Dr Inkwell to cover the origin and definition of whiskey, you'll get your first taste. What do you think? Does it fit the definition? Is it whiskey or some other spirit? The audience will voice their opinion but one person may be called up to the podium and asked about what they're tasting. Are they able to guess correctly or are they a weak link? Is it a match? Will there be a feud? Who wants to taste a whiskey?!
After each taste, the answer will be revealed and details about the spirit will be provided. What kind of scotch, region, or blend was it? If it wasn't whiskey, what was it and why might you have gotten it wrong? You'll learn how to taste, discern flavors, understand the elements of whiskey, and be entertained along the way.
The game show starts promptly at 4:15pm, so arrive on time!
Mysterious Cocktail Bar
After the game show and tasting, the cocktail bar opens! Dr Inkwell has formulated some delicious cocktails from the mystery ingredients in the tasting. Your admission includes a drink ticket to enjoy during the social event mixer afterwards (additional drinks available for an additional charge). Compare notes with your neighbors and friends. Did you get them all correct? Which was your favorite? And how does the cocktail change the flavors of that spirit you loved (or hated)?
