The USS Hornet Museum, in Alameda, welcomes the World's Paper Airplane Champ, John Collins, to give a paper airplane demo while introducing children to the historic story of the 1942 Doolittle Raid, on Sunday, April 23, at 2 pm. This event gives families an opportunity to celebrate the Raid's 75th anniversary, which began in Alameda, CA. Each child will receive a template of his winning paper airplane which flew over 280 feet.
The Hornet Museum is open from 10 am to 5 pm. Regular museum admission applies for this event and is free for members and children 6 and under. Visit
