Acoustic guitar virtuoso
Don Ross has toured regularly since 1989, across Canada, the USA, a dozen European countries, Japan, Taiwan, China, Australia, Russia and India. An acoustic guitar virtuoso whose style has been self-described as ‘heavy wood’, he is the only two-time winner of the US National Fingerstyle Guitar Competition and is widely regarded as a pioneer of his craft. He has played with symphony orchestras in Canada and Germany, and collaborated live and on recordings with Andy McKee, Canadian singer/guitarist Brooke Miller, & Toronto bassist Jordan O’Connor. He also composes scores for television, radio and film, and does production and recording engineering for a variety of other musicians. He has released over fifteen albums to critical acclaim and currently releases music under the CandyRat label, alongside other fingerstyle stars such as Andy McKee, Antoine Dufour, and Jimmy Wahlsteen.
