Don.Appetit's Pop-up Restaurant

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at San Francisco Chinatown (see times)
As I will be moving to New York, I want to share my art with everyone before I depart.
---
I always wanted to open my own little pop-up restaurant. I am Viet, myself -- and can cook Vietnamese dishes. After visiting Vietnam, I am inspired by the culture within the streets. The art of each vendor selling one specific dish they specialize in fascinates me. Each vendor has their own special family recipe. The dish I specialize in is called Bánh Xèo. It’s a savory Vietnamese crepe that has pork & shrimp. It is then served with herbs and rice paper. In my family, we use bacon instead of pork belly. In Vietnam, this dish brings so many people together. In the shops, you see men laughing and enjoying their beer with their meal. I want to recreate this back in the states.
In the menu,
Each person will get the main entree which is Bánh Xèo. You will receive 2 large Bánh Xèo and these are made to order, so it will take time to cook.
Also, there will be dessert: Chè Thái - it is a sweet fruit dessert full of delicious fruits like lychee and logan and topped with dried coconut for a crunchy texture.
Prices for extra:
Bánh Xèo - $5 extra
Chè Thái - $3 extra

The picture above is from the pop-up I had at home in December 2018, right after my trip from Vietnam.
