DJ SEP is the founder, promoter, and main resident DJ at DUB MISSION. Now 16+ years strong, DUB MISSION is one of the longest-running dub & reggae parties in the U.S., and the world, presenting cutting-edge dub, dubstep, roots reggae, and dancehall every Sunday night in San Francisco. Dub Mission has featured artists from all over the world, including Adrian Sherwood & the ON-U Sound System, Mad Professor & the Ariwa Sound System, the Scientist, Mungo's Hi Fi with Soom T, Zion Train, Twilight Circus Dub Sound System, Nickodemus of NYC’s Turntables On the Hudson and many many others. For 22 years, she was also on Bay Area radio: first at college radio station KUSF (University of San Francisco) and later at Berkeley's public radio station,
KPFA, where her eclectic electronic mix program "Off the Beaten Path" aired from 1994 to 2010. In 2003, she and journalist/DJ Ron Nachmann aka Shockman realized and compiled Babylon Is
Ours: The USA in Dub, a compilation of all-exclusive American dub tracks released by Germany’s Select Cuts Records. In 2009, her remixes (with Jason Short) of "Get Your Dub Wet" featuring
Juakali and Chatman were released on Mochipet’s Daly City. DJ Sep has been nominated for an SF Weekly Music Award in the best DJ category, and has spun at venues and clubs in London,
New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Miami, San Diego, and throughout the Bay Area. She has performed with for a wide array of international artists, including Sly & Robbie, The Wailers, Culture, Big Youth, Les Nubians, Rachid Taha, Kinky, and many others.
