Diversity in gender and ethnicity has proven to drive better performances in organizations - reports from HBR or McKinsey cover the topic and data. However, as humans, we’re biased in our perception of others. Due to stereotypes, we tend to evaluate people differently based on characteristics such as race and gender. In this panel discussion, we’ll hear about the experiences and opinion of women and men from different backgrounds -- from leading executives to researchers. You will learn how you can identify your biases, understand how bias affects one’s career, and learn potential actions to address bias.
Progress starts from the awareness that there is room from improvement. But we need to do more. We all have the responsibility to learn and act if we want diversity figures to move.
Join us in the beautiful Ohana Space on the 61st floor of Salesforce Tower for an open and insightful discussion where we learn from each other and feel empowered on diversity in the workplace and the notion of implicit bias.
Our panelists will include
Nicole Kyner, Head of Search at TheBoardlist
Nolwenn Godard, Director of West Coast Operations at the Women Initiative Foundation
Sylvain Kalache, Co-founder at the Holberton School
The panel will be moderated by Reza Malekzadeh, Partner at Partech and Lead at the French Tech SF.
More panelists to be announced soon!
