Come spend an evening doing an intro to D3.js, one of the most powerful libraries for representing data. Not only will we get a high-level overview of how D3 manipulates the DOM, but we’ll also play around with the amazing transformations that make the data visualizations so compelling.
Everyone is welcome to attend (beginners too). However, to fully appreciate the power of D3, it’s important that you have a baseline understanding of JavaScript. If you’re new to the language, take a look at this online course. We recommend that you work through the entire beginning level and a few sections of the intermediate-level class (Nested Data Structures, Higher Order Functions, and the Document Object Model sections).
Important Information:
Doors open @ 6pm. Lecture will start around 6:30pm. Come early, get signed in, grab a good seat and shmooze for a bit.
