District 6 Supervisor Debate: The Race to Lead the Innovation District
From City Hall to Treasure Island, the Tenderloin to Mission Bay, and the entirety of South of Market Street (The East Cut to Western SOMA), San Francisco's Innovation District (District 6) represents the heartbeat of San Francisco, witnessing both its recent success and many of its current issues.
On Tuesday, November 6th, District 6 voters will decide who should replace termed-out Supervisor Jane Kim. To help voters and the greater tech community learn more about the candidates running to be the next District 6 Supervisor, sf.citi teamed up with Lyft and Hustle to host a tech-focused debate.
What does this Supervisor race mean for San Francisco's tech community?
During the past year, tech companies and many emerging tech trends became the focus of various pieces of proposed legislation, including #ScooterGate, citywide broadband internet, the employee cafeteria ban, and much more. As the district that is home to a majority of San Francisco's tech companies, the next District 6 Supervisor will serve as an integral part of the discussions on proposed legislation and regulations surrounding tech in the Innovation District.
Don't miss this opportunity to hear first-hand where the candidates stand on the issues important to you!
