Discernment
Friday April 25
A Silent Retreat for Women directed by Fr. Chi Ngo, S.J. Ignatius of Loyola said that discernment is the interpretation of the “motions of the soul.†These interior movements consist of many things: thoughts, imaginings, emotions, inclinations, desires, feelings, repulsions, and attractions. Spiritual discernment involves becoming sensitive to these movements, reflecting on them, and understanding where they come from and where they lead us. We will spend time exploring how to be more attentive in prayer, to recognize the movements of our soul, and see more clearly how God calls us every day.
