Developing Environments is an artist live-work community since 1972.
In the early seventies, a small group of artists and urban dreamers converged on a vacant 3-story warehouse with the objective of transforming it into a community in which they could both live and work. After nearly 40 years and all the major building improvements long completed, today's artists of Developing Environments concentrate on their individual creative pursuits. These pursuits encompass a multiplicity of backgrounds and creative endeavors. Painters, musicians, sculptors, print makers, graphic designers, computer artists, dancers, photographers, fashion designers, circus and theater performers occupy its 36 studios.
