SEE EVENT DETAILS
A lightning talk series on type design.
In this session of Designers + Geeks, we’re digging deep into the world of type design with a series of incredible speakers. Industry legends including Jessica Hische, Kyle Benson, Marc Tobias Kunisch, and Saphierrina Sutherland will share stories about their lives with type and lessons we can all value.

About Our Speakers
Jessica Hische | Lettering Artist & Author
Jessica Hische is a typography expert who worked across established brands, classic books, postage stamps, and so much more. She’s travelled the world speaking at creative conferences and colleges, and has befriend innumerable internet strangers while navigating the depths of social media. When she’s not drafting letterforms, manipulating beziers, writing kids books, or letterpressing on her Vandercook, she’s doing my best to help others find the same happiness and fulfillment that she’s found in her work.

Saphierrina Sutherland | Head of Design at Eero
Saphierrina Sutherland is a designer who sweats the details. She serves as head of design at Eero, formerly Square and Parasol. She cut her teeth at Art Center where she studied fine art and graphic design. She loves to build teams and brands that make life a little bit easier.

Kyle Benson | Very Cool Studio
Kyle is the multi-negligent designer behind no-award winning type foundry Very Cool Studio. His type has been used by Apple, Intercom, and on posters in his mom's 3rd grade classroom.
