High X Design is a series that focuses on design impact in the cannabis industry. This year we will welcome speakers who are pushing a once seedy business to a high calibre product. About Our Speakers
Tina Hardison | Tina is an independent designer and educator based out of sunny San Francisco. Specializing in branding and communication design, she's passionate about making meaningful brand experiences come to life.
Betsy Filson | Betsy is a senior designer who is passionate about helping mission-driven, early-stage companies use design thinking to create consistent brand and product experiences. She has a history working with a variety of content, ranging from brand strategy to data visualization and UGC. She is currently Head of Design for Kelvin, Inc., a machine learning company focused on control and automation for industry. In her spare time, she consults companies on their brand narrative and product design. Previously, Betsy has designed experiences for Salesforce, Yelp, Telefonica Digital and Health IQ. Outside the office, you can find her on the trail, a yoga mat or cruising SF by bike.
Libby Cooper | Libby was Eaze’s first Creative Director, where her mission was to make marijuana mainstream. She led the design + photography team, and created ad campaigns for billboards and public transportation. In addition to Eaze, she has built numerous cannabis product brands including STATE, Ritual Drops, and Cloud Confections. In March, Libby said farewell to Eaze to focus on building her own cannabis projects full time. She enjoys the company of her big dog Blu and all things holistic health. Kristen Winzent | Kristen is a marketer and strategist who applies design thinking to create end-to-end consumer experiences. She's used this experiential approach to branding to build cannabis companies that educate consumers, the majority of whom are trying products for the first time. Her work helps entrepreneurs and businesses connect with their audiences through shared values and experiences. Whether engaging consumers, influencers, or employees, this approach moves beyond rigid category definition and puts the audience at the center. Previously, she managed digital and physical brand programs for Airbnb, eBay, Google, and Hyundai.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Yes, this event is 21+, and attendees will need to present a valid ID to join us. It's the beer!
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Yelp's beautiful office is near the corner of New Montgomery and Mission St, right in the heart of San Francisco. It's easy to get to from BART, many buses, or your ride sharing app of choice. If you need to drive, paid parking is available nearby.
Can I arrive after 8pm?
No!! For building security staffing reasons, we can not let you in after 8pm. We're not joking - if it's 8:00.0001pm, you will be turned away. This really sucks, and we don't want it to happen - please arrive before 8pm.
