Ethics and AI have been in the news a lot lately, but how do we go about creating AI products that are ethical, inclusive, and trustworthy? Where is the line between “cool” and “creepy?” This talk will cover user research and design techniques to help you create products that use AI in helpful and responsible ways.

Clara Kliman-Silver | Clara is UX designer and researcher who specializes in AI, data visualization, and enterprise systems. She works as a UX designer at Bonsai, an artificial intelligence platform company in Berkeley, California, and serves as a strategist for Ladies That UX, an international organization providing education and leadership opportunities in UX. Clara holds an Sc.B. in Cognitive Science from Brown University.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Yes, this event is 21+, and attendees will need to present a valid ID to join us. It's the beer!
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Yelp's beautiful office is near the corner of New Montgomery and Mission St, right in the heart of San Francisco. It's easy to get to from BART, many buses, or your ride sharing app of choice. If you need to drive, paid parking is available nearby.
Can I arrive after 8pm?
No!! For building security staffing reasons, we can not let you in after 8pm. We're not joking - if it's 8:00.0001pm, you will be turned away. This really sucks, and we don't want it to happen - please arrive before 8pm.
