The Designathonon Tour brings together people from the creative economy of both cities – Zurich and San Francisco – during the weekend of October 20/21. The Swiss Designathon Team and swissnex San Francisco invite you to participate in the co-creation process on topics around urbanization and technology. Let’s collect and advance new ideas of civic swarm behavior and movements in urban spaces.
Designathon brings together curious and motivated people and uses the event form as a method to look at design through a social lens, to break up traditional thinking structures, to generate innovative, fresh, visionary but also critical ideas. Everything from aesthetical visualizations to socially critical perspectives can arise and may be presented in any form. At the end, prizes are awarded in different categories for the best pitches. Furthermore these winning pitches will build the framework for the following Urban Tech Summit on October 23.
Presented as part of the Festival "Zürich meets San Francisco" and in partnership with the Canton of Zurich.
