Join design leader Yingzhao Liu, robotics engineer Mikey Siegel, and wellness expert Aneel Chima for a conversation exploring the intersection of design, technology, and our well-being.
As technology becomes increasingly intelligent and aware, it is urgent that we look into our own consciousness to understand our role in creating the future. In working to transform the world, we come to realize that we ourselves are the material, and we need to be familiar with the process of transforming within.
Brought together by their creative tensions as well as their shared humanist values, Mikey, Ying, and Aneel explore the journey of a change-maker in today’s world. Join these experts as they examine how we can utilize the best of our understanding of wisdom and well-being, so that technology can have the best possible influence on our planet.
Aneel Chima is associate director of the Division of Health and Human Performance and head of Wellness Education and the Flourishing Research Initiative (FRI) at Stanford University. His teaching and research aims to answer the questions, "What does it mean to flourish as human beings in an age of hyper-complexity?" and "How do we better practice and teach human flourishing as cultural and life rhythms increasingly accelerate?" He is co-founder and managing partner of AT THE CORE, a consulting boutique specializing in facilitating transformative change through enhancing the emotional, social, and neurophysiological drivers of team and leadership thriving. His work harnesses powerful insights from the emerging science of wellness and human flourishing and applies them to solve tactical and strategic challenges confronting organizations in an ever more dynamic, asymmetrical world.
Yingzhao Liu is a design leader and educator in Silicon Valley drawing from a deeply collaborative investigation of human processes to build empathetic and innovative products. She's also a student of Zen Buddhism and indigenous spiritual practices, as well as a facilitator and speaker on topics of mindfulness and integration.
Mikey Siegel is a robotics engineer turned consciousness hacker. He envisions a present and future where science and technology support psychological, emotional and spiritual flourishing. Where our devices not only connect us to information, but also connect us to ourselves and each other, acting as a catalyst for individual and collective awakening. He is currently teaching at Stanford University, founder of Consciousness Hacking, BioFluent Technologies, and the Transformative Technology Conference. He received an MS in robotics from the MIT Media Lab.
