Design Systems at Adobe

SEE EVENT DETAILS

Design Systems at Adobe
Join us on March 28, 2018 from 6:00-8:30PM in San Francisco for a gathering to learn more about the team and the process for how design systems work at Adobe.
Building for Complexity: Design Systems at Scale
How do you create a design system for a complex product ecosystem, serving millions of users worldwide? With scale comes complexity, and that leads to daunting challenges.

Join us, as we share and discuss our journey on building and harnessing a design system for large-scale adoption. Learn insights about how designers and engineers are working together to tackle the challenge of serving a diverse product ecosystem. We’ll discuss the design, technology, governance and politics — and more — of running a design system at scale.

About the Speakers
Sarah Federman is a UX designer and front-end engineer who loves applying systems thinking to solve product problems. She graduated with her BFA in New Media Design from Rochester Institute of Technology. Previously a UI engineer at LinkedIn, she’s currently using her diverse skillset to help create the design system at Adobe, dubbed Spectrum.

PJ Buddhari is currently an experience designer at Adobe, working on the design system team. Before that, she designed for various startups in education and digital health, and was one of Designer Fund's Bridge fellows. In a previous life, she was a non-sleeping aspiring architect at MIT.

About the Panel
Building for Complexity

In this panel, we’ll bring together stakeholders from various disciplines for some real talk about building and scaling Adobe’s design system. You’ll hear about how we’re working to make our design system more useful to designers and engineers at Adobe, where we’ve made progress, and where the friction points are.

There will be food and bevvies! We will update soon on whether wine and beer will also be available.
This talk will not be recorded. You will need to bring an government-issued ID to attend, and sign an NDA upon arrival.
