Saturday, June 17, 201710am - 12pmGarden for the Environment7th Ave @ Lawton Street, San FranciscoInstructor: Tom Bressan$10 - Sponsored by the SFPUC
How do I set my sprinkler system? How often should I water my plants? What time of the day should I water them? How do I check for irrigation leaks? If you have questions like these, this workshop is for for you. Our expert instructor will give a brief overview of common irrigation systems and share tips and tricks for keeping them in good shape. Then, the floor will be open for an extended Q&A - bring in irrigation component, photos, and questions and our instructor will help you troubleshoot. You'll learn a lot by hearing the solutions to others' questions as well!

FAQs
What are my transport/parking options getting to the garden?
There is available street parking, though be advised it can be challenging on weekends. Many buses and trains stop nearby, making public transportation a great option! The 44 O'Shaughnessy, 6 Parnassus, N Judah and other lines all stop nearby.
What should I bring to the workshop?
Classes are held outside in our teaching garden. We recommend bringing a hat & sunscreen, comfortable closed toed shoes and lots of layers. You may want to bring a notebook to take notes on what you are learning and we recommend bringing a full water bottle as well.
Do you cancel classes due to rain?
We try our best not to cancel classes, but if the weather report suggests it is very likely it will be pouring rain during the class time, we will cancel the class that morning. We do hold classes in drizzling weather, and recommend students dress appropriately.
Happy gardening!
