Daniel Wang has been involved in Clubs and Dance Music for a very long time now! Yes, he's from Bay Area and lived in New York for 10 years, but now he has also been a Berliner for almost 20 years, where he played constantly at favorite parties like Horse Meat Disco and Cocktail d'Amore, and where he still has residencies at the queer club Schwuz and at Paloma Bar in Kreuzberg. Just last month he was touring thru Helsinki, Paris, Barcelona, and Japan.
He has a lot of credits going 30 years back: his long interviews with Tee Scott and Danny Krivit were published in the early 1990s long before anyone knew their names outside of New York. He also wrote the definitive account of the opening night of Berghain in Berlin... and in 2017 he remixed releases for Cerrone and Wolfgang Tillmans. His own releases on Balihu, Environ, and Ghostly Records are still played by DJs everywhere.
But most importantly - everyone knows this - Daniel Wang just loves to dance and have fun with people on the dancefloor! He hates big commercial festivals and bland laptop noises. Let Daniel play his violins and guitars and Salsoul congas, get everybody into a big circle and jam happily together. He brings his joyful spirit and deep musicality to every gig.
