We invite you, and all Bay Area families, to attend the 5th annual de Youngsters Day Out on Saturday, May 16th, 2026. This event is free and open to every Bay Area family. The event will include hands-on art-making activities, entertainment led by teaching artists and community partners, collaborations with local artists interpreting our permanent collection, and live performances in the galleries.
Free field trips to the de Young and Legion of Honor for over 20,000 students per year
Free Saturdays, which offer free general admission and robust family programming for residents of all nine Bay Area counties at the de Young
Proceeds from this event support our school and family programming, including:
* Free field trips to the de Young and Legion of Honor for students from hundreds of Bay Area schools
* Outreach to San Francisco Unified School District elementary schools who qualify for Title 1 funding
* Free Saturdays, which offers free general admission and robust family programming for residents of all nine Bay Area counties at the de Young
