J. B. Priestley’s Dangerous Corner is an intriguing piece of theatre that was first produced in 1932 by Tyrone Guthrie at the Lyric Theatre in London. Dangerous Corner is numbered among Priestley's “time plays,” works which rely on scenes of alternative reality to those initially presented to the audience. The play is considered very much ahead of its time and attracted a great deal of attention in its early days, not only for its time structure, but for its inclusion of references to homosexuality, drug-taking, and infidelity, subjects rarely mentioned in theatrical productions of the Thirties.

Director’s Note: “I was first introduced to Dangerous Corner when I played Charles Stanton
in 1998. The play takes us on a rollercoaster of ‘truths’ about class, success, deception and dishonesty with those that we see as true friends.” – David Acevedo
