Día de los Muertos and Halloween at Mission Community Market

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Celebrate Día de los Muertos and Halloween at Mission Community Market on Thursday, October 29. Stock up on fall produce, and join us in celebrating our local farmers and Mission community. While we are not able to host live music due to market safety protocols, the market will be festively decorated to honor this special time of year!

Bring the kids in costume and visit the CUESA Kids' Corner (near the Info Booth) for a kid-sized market tote including Día de los Muertos coloring book, color-by-number sugar skull activity, DIY papel picado kit, and crayons (3-6pm, while supples last).
Kids can also pick out a free Halloween pumpkin of choice at the CUESA Kids' Corner pumpkin patch (3-6pm, while supplies last). Please note: Only one family will be admitted at a time. Pumpkins provided by Hale's Apple Farm.
Be sure to shop the market to pick up locally grown flowers and produce for your ofrenda and other fall goodies from your favorite MCM sellers. Stop by Norte 54's booth for calaveras, pan de muerto, and other baked treats.
Mission Community Market takes place on Thursdays, 3 to 7 pm, on 22nd Street (between Mission and Valencia) and Bartlett Street in San Francisco's Mission neighborhood. The market is accessible from the 24th Street BART station, as well as the 14, 49, and other MUNI lines. Find Bay Area transit information, maps, and schedules at transit.511.org.

CUESA farmers markets accept EBT (CalFresh/food stamps). Customers using EBT can double their dollars (up to $10 per market day) through the Market Match program, which offers free market coins redeemable only for fruits and vegetables.

The farmers market is open as an essential service. For your safety and the safety of your community, please always wear a mask and practice social distance in the farmers market. For our COVID-19 response, updates, and market protocols, visit cuesa.org/covid19.
