Curiosity Guild: Full Bloom

SEE EVENT DETAILS
We're a community of storytellers who illuminate and investigate the curious corners of history through public talks that celebrate the wonderfully weird.

The May show, "Full Bloom", features ancient obsessions, hidden patterns and flowers that toppled empires:

Martin Strauss - Ruthless buccaneer or respected botanist: Why not both?
Avani Gadani - Tulipmania: How an aphid caused the world's first bubble
Danielle Roberts - Delicate & eternal: The glass flowers of HarvardE.
Anne Killpack - Save the date: The high-stakes heist of the California Medjool
Jacqueline Steiger - Sunflowers, spirals, and shells: The hidden equation behind your favorite flower
Kyle Weaver - Contraception, colonialism, & sexy silphium: Why Caesar coveted Cyrene's sensational condiment.
Hosted by Martin Strauss
