Crypto Underground is excited to announce that our next speaker will be Lindsay Lin, Counsel and Program Manager at Lightyear.io, a software company that builds applications and integrations for the Stellar.org network.
Lindsay’s going to give us the lowdown on crypto litigation. Given recent multitudes of class actions and enforcement actions, what are some best practices for cryptocurrency developers and entrepreneurs to avoid potential litigation? Additionally, what do cryptocurrency investors have to know about how their interests and portfolio could be affected by new lawsuits? This presentation will share practical, best practices-oriented insights on how to best navigate the current litigation landscape as a member of the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

In addition to serving as Counsel and Program Manager at Stellar/Lightyear.io, Lindsay also volunteers for the Stellar Development Foundation as the organization’s in-house counsel. In her roles, she advises on operations and strategic decisions surrounding regulatory requirements, product development, marketing, commercial contracts, and more. In addition, she writes and speaks prolifically about the legal and technical elements of the blockchain space. Having graduated as top of her class in her college math department, her favorite aspect of blockchain technology is the cryptographic algorithms.
We are excited to have Lindsay come speak on the crazy world of lawsuits! In addition to hearing her speak and asking her your questions, all attendees of this event will have an opportunity to make a 30-second announcement about a blockchain-related project you’re working on. You can pitch your upcoming ICO, ask for help, or offer your expertise. Look forward to seeing you on Tuesday!
This event will be live streamed as usual for our global audience. The live stream is done via Facebook Live and the video can be accessed from the event Facebook page on Tuesday around 7:30 pm Pacific.
