Craniosacral: Low Force, Big Impact

SEE EVENT DETAILS

We often think that making deep and lasting change in people's bodies, having a meaningful impact on their whole lives, takes a lot of really hard work for the practitioner. Deep tissue, structural integration (Rolfing), and the like require the generation of intense forces. With great body mechanics, those techniques can be practiced safely for years. However, some of us with prior injuries will always have a tough time with the "correct" biomechanics for those high intensity approaches.

Hurting yourself helping people is one of the classic healer traps. Working deeper or harder than you need to can lead to repetitive strain injuries and burnout. Don't do it!

Craniosacral work offers a complete set of tools for offering relief and lasting change in the body using very light forces. With good body mechanics, the work becomes a meditation for both recipient and practitioner, and change unfolds with next to no effort.

This day-long intensive workshop will teach the fundamentals of Craniosacral work, from feeling the CSI (craniosacral impulse, or rhythm), the structure and function of fascia, and a basic skillset for bringing balance, ease, and greater freedom of movement to the spine.

Please note this course is not certified for CE credits, and that Dr Z is *not* teaching Upledger or Biodynamic style CranioSacral Therapy, but rather his own approach (based heavily upon Upledger's work, but distinct in it's application and protocol.)

If you're a bodyworker who would like a set of tools you can use even when your body is injured, even when you're in your 80s, please sign up today.

There are only 8 spaces available. 2 Scholarship positions are available. Please contact Dr Z by emailing [email protected] if you need to apply for one of the scholarships.
