Conversation On: Political Tribalism and The Electoral Process

SEE EVENT DETAILS
BE AT THE TABLE:
For our Fall 2018 program, we will be hosting a three-part series taking a deeper look into the history and psychology of partisanship and political thought in America.                                            We will be gathering researchers, activists and community members as we ask the less comfortable questions of ourselves : How exactly did we get here? How do we move forward?

Join us on the Nopalito patio as we kick off our series and take a broader and deeper look into the history of political tribalism and the electoral process in America, California and The Bay.
We will discuss the factors and consequences of political divisions between rural and urban communities, the dangers of partisan institutions, Who are 'The Elites?' and the economic and geographic influences on voting and representation.
As we approach midterm elections this will be a timely conversation to devote a night to step back, contextualize, ground and empower.

Your ticket will include margaritas, wine, and a seat at the table for conversation over a four-course, family style dinner.
100% of ticket sales will be donated to support civics education and engagement through YMCA - Youth & Government - SF Chapter.

Nopa and Nopalito restaurants, servers and chefs will be donating 100% of their food, beverage, time and service in order to support the conversation and the important work of Youth & Government.
Ticket prices have intentionally been set well below cost in order to ensure more needed and diverse voices can be at the table. If you are able, and so inclined please consider making an additonal donation to sponsor a ticket and support civics education through Youth & Government.
Please Note - No one will be turned away from the conversation for lack of funds. Please contact [email protected] in advance for more information.
