Contra Costa Civic Theatre (CCCT) is a nonprofit community theater and one of only three live performing arts organizations with permanent homes in West Contra Costa County. Our mission is to provide affordable, high-quality entertainment to residents throughout the East Bay and provide training in live performing arts for children and adults.
As CCCT heads into the next sixty years its artistic and education programs continue to thrive under the leadership of a deeply committed Board of Directors led by President Kathleen Perka and Founding Family members Matt Flynn, Kathleen Ray, her husband Ken, and their children Maureen and Alex. The company's widely praised Drama Camp, which provides a fun and memorable theatrical experience to more than 200 young people each summer, celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2014. That same year, the theatre's ground-breaking Main Stage production of the Pulitzer Prize-winner, AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY, directed by Artistic Director Marilyn Langbehn, was named "Best Production of the Year" at the inaugural Theatre Bay Area (TBA) awards. CCCT, with the support of the City of El Cerrito and others, looks forward to the next sixty years of providing high-quality theatre and education to the citizens of the greater Bay Area.
