Conscious Breath Workshop: The Wim Hof Method

This evening has been described by many as "lifechanging", but it will not be easy (as you will be asked to participate in a breathing technique for extended periods of time).
The Wim Hof Method is a form conscious/controlled hyperventilation, which is claimed to can help with or help alleviate symptoms of multiple sclerosis, arthritis, diabetes, clinical depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and cancer.
The founder, Wim Hof, is a Dutch extreme athlete known as The Iceman for his ability to withstand extreme cold, who holds 26 world records.
A study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America claims that by consciously hyperventilating, Hof can increase his heart rate, adrenaline levels, and blood alkalinity. Here are some

Chuck McGee III is a certified Wim Hof Method instructor and has been training with Wim Hof for the past three years.  He has used the method to turn his life around, getting past his depression, managing his diabetes, losing weight and improving his energy, athletic, and mental performance. I have helped lead expeditions up mountains in the winter in Poland and swam in freezing lakes. I even built a cold tub at my house so that I can take ice baths every day.
After working his entire adult life in the high stress environments of bartending and theatre, his diagnosis with diabetes sent him into a depression and a realization of his poor health. Determined to feel better, but stuck in old patterns, encountering the Wim Hof Method gave Chuck the hope and the tools he was looking for. Since beginning, the method has given him a stronger grasp of his health than anything else he has discovered. He has shared the method with everyone from athletes in the United States and Europe and was the first American to be invited to teach with Wim Hof during his annual winter retreat in Poland.
