Conn Hallinan on 'Dangerous Seas: North Korea, China and the U.S.'

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at Unitarian Universalists of San Mateo (see times)
The situation with North Korea is again at powder-keg level as the Trump administration tries to match the rhetoric of Kim Jong Un. While Kim's words include threats to use nuclear weapons, from the White House the phrase "all options are on the table" is again part of the dialogue. What we don't hear are ways to address the situation with diplomacy.
The world hopes China can help rein in North Korea and de-escalate the growing crisis, but it might also have some ideas about how to play this drama to its own advantage.
Foreign policy analyst Dr. Conn Hallinan will address this evolving issue--a topic that could sound quite different on the night of the talk than it does at this moment.
