This year, HSNB celebrated historic adoption rates and successes in reuniting owners with lost pets — nearly 800 fewer animals were sent to the Fairfield shelter from Vallejo in 2015, saving the City of Vallejo over $90,000. The truth is, HSNB wasn’t prepared for this kind of success! Our 2015 adoption rates have outpaced the revenues we have to care for this many animals and continue to create financial challenges that could ultimately affect the ability of the shelter to stay open. We’ve proven that HSNB can increase adoptions and save the city money by doing so. Now we need to look at how we as a community can help fund this solution.
HSNB invites you to come to this meeting. Find out the successes we’ve had, the challenges we face, and how you can help the HSNB continue its life-saving mission.
