The University of San Francisco will be hosting the “Community Folk Art Festival for the Family” as part of USF and The Mexican Museum’s exhibit, Dobles Vidas: Folk Art from The Mexican Museum. The festival will celebrate live music, dance, hands-on arts demonstrations, and bilingual tours.
Dobles Vidas is a showcase of more than 60 works exploring the stories an object can communicate about those who create, use, and collect them. The exhibit holds works from a number of Mexico’s internationally-recognized artists and collectors. The exhibition is the second collaboration between The Mexican Museum and the University of San Francisco’s Thacher Gallery and Masters in Museum Studies Program.
