Collective Rage: A Play in Five Betties

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Five people named Betty clash and connect in this queer fantasia of riotous self-discovery, smeared with sex, rage and solidarity! Can a dinner party, a hand mirror, and a play within a play be the keys for turning solitude into understanding? Even happiness? This play is a wildly raw, comic exploration of the human heart, and other body parts.

"A fult-tilt lesbian / bi-curious / genderqueer / Shakespearean comedy for everyone" - The New York Times

The play features Atosa Babaoff (she/her), Skyler Cooper (he/they/Skyler), Raisa Donato (any pronouns), linda maria giron (they/them), and Nicole Odell (she/her).

Poet and novelist Jen Silverman (they/them) wrote Collective Rage, a play whose original full title is COLLECTIVE RAGE: A PLAY IN 5 BETTIES; IN ESSENCE A QUEER AND OCCASIONALLY HAZARDOUS EXPLORATION; DO YOU REMEMBER WHEN YOU WERE IN MIDDLE SCHOOL AND YOU READ ABOUT SHACKLETON AND HOW HE EXPLORED THE ARCTIC?; IMAGINE THE ARCTIC AS A PUSSY AND IT'S SORT OF LIKE THAT, and it is directed by Becca Wolff (any pronouns). Props Designer is Tasya Abbot (she/her). Sound Design by James Ard (he/him), who returns to the Ashby Stage after a triumphant run of Wolf Play. Fatima Coleman (she/her) will lead the Costume Design team which includes Lia Findley (she/they) as the Costume Assistant. Cast Member Raisa Donato (any pronouns) will also be the production's fight choreographer. Kayleigh Glenn (they/them) will stage manage Collective Rage with the assistance of Kaitlin Weinstein (she/her). Angrette McCloskey (they/them) is on set design.
