The Open House will provide an opportunity to tour Cogswell’s dynamic campus and learn more about its programs. Attendees will be able to visit with some of the school’s outstanding students, watch award-winning computer-animated short films, talk to an admissions representative and get answers to financial aid questions. The Dragonhearts, the college’s rock band, will perform.
Family and friends are welcome and encouraged to come explore the many exciting opportunities offered by Cogswell’s distinct mixture of academic programs and enjoy refreshments. Applications for Fall Terms are now being accepted.
Cogswell’s unique project-based learning programs such as Game Studio, MediaWorks, Studio E and Project X put students in the middle of real-world projects, working with actual industry clients, that teach them a team-centered approach that mirrors real development teams of artists, engineers, animators, game designers, audio specialists and management.
The San Jose Mercury News lauded Cogswell as “… one of the pre-eminent schools in video game design and digital cinema." Cogswell student animation films have won dozens of festival awards, audio students have won the MTV/ACT award for music videos, software engineering students have worked with a top mobile carrier on an innovative project and the Game Studio class is designing a puzzle game for elementary school-aged children.
