Join us for an informal chat with a panel of instructors and alumni from 5 different coding schools.
We're here to answer your questions, but we'll definitely touch on each of these:
â— What does a bootcamp study schedule look like?â—Â How long will it take to get a job?â—Â What should you look for in an immersive program?â—Â What are some ways you can prepare?Â
Meet the Speakers
Andy Tiffany is an instructor and founder at First Step Coding. He has a B.S. in computer science and has worked as a professional software architect, founder, and instructor over the past ten years. Prior to founding First Step Coding, he was the web-focused instructor at Make School, a Y Combinator backed college alternative for makers. Students he's mentored have since received job offers from Google, IDEO, Segment, and other great companies.
Jake Holtz is currently in the midst of career transition from analytics into software engineering. Jake was recently admitted to Hack Reactor after completing First Step Coding, so he brings a fresh perspective to the table.
In his past life, RC Brown was primarily a DJ and a promoter. He is currently enrolled at Learners Guild and well on his way to becoming a career software engineer. Learners Guild is a unique 10-month program focused on making it possible for anyone with the will to make a pivot into software engineering. Learners don't owe any tuition until after successfully landing a job as a software engineer, and anyone enrolled is eligible for up to a $1,500 monthly stipend to cover living expenses.Â
Tate Thurston is a software engineer at Transcriptic. For the past 4 years, he has been helping biotech companies leverage software to improve research and discovery efforts. He is passionate about emerging technologies and helping others navigate technical material. Tate has a B.S. in neuroscience and is a Hack Reactor alumnus.
