With an ear for both the microcosmic and bogglingly enormous, Dj Freshie (FKA Freshstep) has been murdering dance floors by caressing of the wheels of steel since '99. Mr. Freeman has held residencies in San Francisco, Chicago, St.Louis, Minneapolis, Tokyo, Seoul, and Bangkok. Though currently residing in San Francisco, he got his start DJing in the American Midwest. His fusion of House, Soul, Disco, Electro, Italo, and early eighties Hip Hop was initially catalyzed as a kid in the back seat of his Dad's car, while in a child's planning stages for Nasa engineering and Double Dare invitation, he was forced, yet delighted, to listen to and dissect a whole generation Dance B sides, esoteric even for the time. His mission: to weave all the static out there into grassroots, connect one blade to the next, and weave a culturally rich soundscape for all to enjoy.
