On Saturday, December 8th from 12-6pm, as part of our 4th Anniversary Celebration we are partnering with Building Futures to raise funds for their Winter Warming Shelters.
For 30 years, Building Futures has provided resources, programs, and services to help residents in San Leandro and throughout Alameda County build futures free from homelessness and family violence.
Winter Warming Shelters are a part of Building Futures ongoing commitment to serve the underserved and homeless community of Alameda County. This December, they will open their San Leandro Warming Shelter and a new Alameda Warming Shelter. Winter Warming Shelters are designed to be a safe respectful place for people without homes to escape cold and rainy weather. Both shelters serve women and men. The shelters will be open on nights when the weather is forecast to be 40 degrees or colder or rain is predicted. Guests are provided with dinner, a place to sleep, and breakfast. The shelters are set to open the first week of December to the first week in April.
Additionally, we will be hosting a donation barrel, in our tasting room, through December. Donation requests include:
Sleeping Bags
Socks (new)
Underwear (new)
T-shirts
Slippers
Games
DVDs
Jackets
Sweatshirts
Sweatpants
Other Anniversary Party features include: The release of Fourth Majeure, a limited run, barrel-aged Quadrupel, live t-shirt silk screening by French Prints with anniversary design by artist Alexsandra Chelini, and sweet, vintage tunes spun by DJ Danny Santos.
Please join us in supporting this great ‘cause and help us celebrate 4 years of making, pouring and drinking great beer in San Leandro.
