It has become clear that the future of our communities will depend on the development of this generation of young local government public servants. Local governments are increasingly looking inward to address some of its most fundamental challenges. Young local government public servants in particular are entering public service at a time when creativity and innovation are needed to address some of the most pressing issues of our time.
After hosting 11 successful cohorts of emerging city leaders, City Hall Fellows is ready to enter its next chapter and support the needs of young local government leaders nationwide through training, professional development, and peer and professional mentorship. Our next chapter will rely upon our network’s experience and expertise in local government because, as current and former local government public servants, we know what it takes to collaborate and train future leaders in their fields, be active peer mentors, and assist each other in navigating early careers in local government.
