CIRCUS AUSTERIUS - The Magnificent Return opens a 4-week run on March 3, 2018 in downtown Oakland’s Kinetic Arts Center. CIRCUS AUSTERIUS takes you on a journey as a group of rowdy clowns, the Odious, burst into the geometric society of the Austere and rile it up with a combination of acrobatics, aerial performances, juggling, clowning and physical theater.

Now in our ninth season, CIRCUS AUSTERIUS is unmatched circus skills, unique European-based performance style and high on the 'WOW' meter. Familiar acts like aerial tissue and single-point trapeze are interspersed with new acts to the Kinetic Arts Center stage such as aerial sling and table slide, all coming together to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. Circus Spire just keeps getting better and better each year! Circus Spire and Kinetic Arts Center are at the center of the exciting and dramatic contemporary circus movement in the East Bay.

Tickets are sold in advance at tiered pricing levels to appeal to every pocketbook.
Floor Seating: Sit on the foam floor close to the ring curb for a unique view of the performance. These are great tickets for kids.
Chair Seating: General admission chair seats on risers behind Floor Seating.

All shows are family-friendly. There is plenty of free parking in our lot or on the street. Performances will be held on Saturdays at 4 & 8pm and on Sundays at 1 & 5pm. NOTE: There is no late seating, please allow time to park and visit the concessions area prior to curtain. Lobby opens ½ hour before performance start time. Kinetic Arts Center is located at 785 7Th St., close to the 14th Street exit from U.S. 980.
