Ecopsychologist, Ginny Anderson, PhD , author of the award winning book "Circling San Francisco Bay - A pilgrimage to wild and sacred places" http://www.eco-psychology.com/pages/book.asp will be conducting her last ever circle of the Bay this Fall.
Since 1991, annual pilgrimages to sacred mountains that surround San Francisco Bay have been introducing participants to profound interactions with the Spirit of Place. The mountains form a container for our journeys; each site providing its own source of inspiration, guidance for personal exploration. People discover new ways to move through the territory, learning to expand sensory awareness and increase sensitivity to communication with the land itself. Through the plant people, the stone people, trees, animals, birds, through the geology and the human history of sites, the sites anchor the palpably unique atmosphere of the Bay Area.
Unfortunately, her age is catching up with her and this will be the last year she can physically continue the journeys. She has written a blog post entitled "The Cusp of Change" http://eco-psychology.com/Blog/?p=273 explaining why this will be the last time she can conduct the series.
This is a final chance to explore the book WITH it's author in the wild and sacred places that are integral to the Bay Area.
