CinemaLit: Human Desire (1954)

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Human Desire (1954) 90 minDirected by Fritz LangGlenn Ford, Gloria Grahame
Glenn Ford is Jeff Warren, a war veteran drawn unknowingly into a sordid web of deception and murder when he flirts briefly with a woman on a train. Gloria Grahame is Vicki, the femme fatale who will do anything to get out of her marriage to a violent drunk – Broderick Crawford at his most brutish. This steamy, compelling noir is based on an Emile Zola’s novel, which was also memorably adapted by Jean Renoir in 1938 under the novel’s original name, La Bete Humaine.
