The inaugural year of Cine Chileno in San Francisco features a retrospective screening of the work of renowned Chilean producer/director Silvio Caiozzi, including his best works from 44 years of a career in film and television and the US premiere of ...And Suddenly the Dawn, Chile’s submission to the foreign-language category at the 2019 Oscars. This film already won the Grand Prix of the Americas (Best Film) at the prestigious Montreal World Film Festival in 2017. Silvio Caiozzi, will travel from Chile exclusively for the screenings. The day-long retrospective will feature 3 films, Julio comienza en julio, La luna en el espejo, and …Y de pronto el amanecer, as well as episodes of "Descorchando Chile (Cheers from Chile)".
