On Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 24, ALX by Alexander's Steakhouse in San Francisco will be open from 5:30 to 9:00 PM serving their regular a la carte menu and bar menu (no discounts/social hours pricing), plus a $65.00 four-course prix fixe dinner menu that will include Crawfish Toast and Caviar Deviled Egg Duet; Soup of the Day or Autumn Leaves Salad with chard, Little Gem lettuce, house-made preserved Meyer lemon ricotta, Marcona almond vinaigrette, figs, tahini, maple syrup candied pecans and prosciutto; a 12 oz. Prime Rib (until it's gone) with natural jus, horseradish cream and chive dust or Halibut with smoked trout roe, kombu butter, dill zabaglione, braised sauerkraut with bacon, and crispy cabbage or Mushroom Cavatelli with Perigord Truffles, a mushroom medley with sweet herbs, Parmesan cheese and Perigord truffles ($40.00 Wagyu supplement, a Shogun Wagyu ribeye cap from Colorado); and Fig Bang Theory, brûléed balsamic figs, whipped goat and kefir Bavarian cheese, fried kataifi and burnt honey anise caramel or Silvanigra, chocolate sponge cake with dark chocolate mousse, tart cherry compote, red wine cherry sorbet and chocolate soil.
