Join us for storytelling by local children's book author Melissa Reyes, reading from her amazing book, "I Am Sausal Creek," a bilingual English and Spanish picture book about the history of Oakland told through the voice of a local waterway.
About the Author:
Melissa Reyes is an educator, writer, doula, and medicine maker based in Oakland, CA. She is deeply committed to justice, liberation, and healing, and is currently finishing her third year in the herbal medicine program at Ancestral Apothecary. In 2015, Melissa published I am Sausal Creek/Soy el Arroyo Sausal.
