Chasing Ice is a 2012 documentary about James Balog, an environmental photographer, and the Extreme Ice Survey (EIS), which aims to capture the impacts of climate change to provide undeniable evidence of our changing planet. It follows Balog’s progress documenting melting glaciers with time-lapse cameras across the Arctic. His hauntingly beautiful videos compress years into seconds and capture ancient mountains of ice in motion as they disappear at a breathtaking rate.
Chasing Ice depicts a photographer trying to deliver evidence and hope to our carbon-powered planet. The event will be presented and hosted by James Rogers, Sustainability Director, and take place from 7-9 pm. Check-in will begin at 6:45pm. There will be a discussion after the film with James and Lisa Hoyos from Sierra Club.
We'll have a special gift for all attendees. Tickets and gifts are first come first serve.
