Ceres Accelerator: The 1.5ºC Imperative 
A special event with Mindy Lubber and Alex Steffen
 
Please join us for an event focused on the urgency and opportunity presented by the recent IPCC 1.5ºC report. The evening will feature Ceres CEO Mindy Lubber in dialogue with futurist and thought leader Alex Steffen. Mindy and Alex will discuss the striking wake-up call of the latest IPCC report findings, and explore how Ceres is actively collaborating with and mobilizing our corporate and investor partners to accelerate the pace and scale of climate action. The invitation-only event will bring together leaders of the business, investment and philanthropic communities, providing the audience with new energy and new tools to align with limiting global warming to 1.5ºC. 
Ceres Accelerator: The 1.5ºC Imperative will take place at The Battery, a San Francisco members club near Jackson Square. Wine, drinks and appetizers will be served. It is a free, private event and this evite is not transferable.

About the Speakers:
Mindy Lubber is CEO and President and a founding board member of Ceres. Under her leadership, Ceres has experienced rapid growth and launched visionary and practical guides to help investors and companies succeed in the 21st century global economy. A recipient of the Skoll Award for Social Change, Mindy is a recognized thought leader and speaks regularly on sustainability issues to high-level business and financial leaders at the New York Stock Exchange, United Nations, World Economic Forum and other venues. Prior to Ceres, Mindy held various government and nonprofit leadership positions, including EPA Regional Administrator, and was Founder and CEO of Green Century Capital Management.
Alex Steffen is an award-winning writer, speaker and thought leader. He has written thousands of pieces, been profiled in numerous media interviews and given hundreds of talks to audiences around the world. Over the last ten years he has also advised some of the world’s most forward-looking institutions, investors, philanthropists and NGOs. Alex ran the pioneering sustainability and social innovation project Worldchanging.com, and edited two best-selling Worldchanging books. He was Planetary Futurist in Residence at the design and innovation firm IDEO. His book Carbon Zero: Imagining cities that can save the planet is an exploration of the kinds of design, technological and policy innovations that can transform our cities into low-carbon engines of prosperity.
