The Central Waterfront – Dogpatch Public Realm Plan is ready for its public debut! The public draft for review will be formally unveiled at this event. City staff from San Francisco Planning, San Francisco Public Works, SFMTA, Recreation and Parks, and San Francisco Port will be on hand to take feedback on the draft. Come celebrate the completion of this two-year effort that involved residents and business operators throughout Dogpatch-Potrero.
The Central Waterfront – Dogpatch Public Realm Plan identified a number of ‘complete streets’ and open space projects throughout the neighborhood. Several projects were prioritized for conceptual design, and through a series of public workshops, dozens small stakeholder focus groups, and surveys, conceptual designs were developed and are now included in the Plan.
The Plan also includes robust cost estimates for improvements throughout the Plan area. Throughout the development process, the Public Realm Plan used those cost estimates to help secure funding for projects throughout the Plan Area. This includes $183k for lighting at the 22nd and 23rd Street Bridges, $35k for interim improvements at Tunnel Top Park, $7.7M for the Esprit Park Renovation, and $500k for the completion of the 22nd Street Stair. Come learn more about other improvements that will be coming through the Plan!
