Please accept this invitation to join us at CJA’s 19th Anniversary Dinner– Celebrating Global Justice—to be held in San Francisco on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at The Park Central.
This year’s event will focus on Colvin v. Syria, the first-ever war crimes case filed against the Syrian regime in the U.S. The case alleges that the Syrian government targeted and murdered Marie Colvin, an American journalist reporting on atrocities being committed by the Assad regime in Homs, during a campaign of systematic attacks on Syrian media workers.
We will also be presenting the Partner in Justice Award to Morgan Lewis for its pro bono contribution to secure accountability for those responsible for the Accormarca massacre in Peru, and the Judith Lee Stronach Human Rights Award to Youk Chhang, Executive Director of the Documentation Center of Cambodia, an organization dedicated to researching and documenting the atrocities committed during the Khmer Rouge era in Cambodia
CJA is an international human rights organization dedicated to deterring torture and other severe human rights abuses through impact litigation, education and outreach. We now represent survivors and family members from nine countries. We are the leading non-governmental organization litigating cases against individual human rights abusers in the U.S. and Cambodia.
We hope you will be able to join us for an inspiring celebration.
