Ensemble for These Times (soprano Nanette McGuinness and pianist Dale Tsang, joined by guest cellist Anne Lerner-Wright), celebrates the release of the ensemble's debut CD, Surviving: Women's Words, with a program of music and poetry by women artists, featuring 3 world premieres of commissioned music by Judith Shatin, Martha Stoddard, and Emma Logan, plus works by Pulitzer-Prize winner Melinda Wagner, rising star Sarah Kirkland Snider, and Czech prodigy Vitezslava Kapralova, as well as selected works from the new CD to poetry by Yala Korwin, Else Lasker-Schueler, and Mascha Kakeko with music by E4TT composer David Garner CD. Released on April 8, Surviving: Women's Words was described in Examiner.com as "fascinating," "compelling" and "passionate."
