Ruraq Maki will be celebrating our 3rd Annual Silent Auction and Fundraiser on Sunday, July 20th, 2014 at the Women’s Building (Auditorium) in San Francisco. Join us from 5:30-8:30pm for live entertainment, Anchor Steam Brewery Summer Brew on tap and wine from local vineyard Random Ridge. Traditional Peruvian food will also be served. This event is a great way to connect with others in your community, give back and support poor and marginalized women in Peru and Bolivia.
If you are a true San Franciscan, you will love our auction packages which include delectable foodie finds, tattoo time, lots of ways to nerd out and get drunk plus amazing massage and spa services and some of the finest culture SF has to offer.
Be sure to get there early for live music and dance, starting at 5:30pm and to check out the beautiful, fair trade and handmade items created by the women of Ruraq Maki.
Proceeds from this event will support Ruraq Maki's educational program, allowing us to offer workshops to help improve skills for incarcerated women in Peru and rural female weavers in Bolivia.
The event will be free (woohoo!), but you know you'll feel better if you give, so donations are encouraged, or get something for giving by shopping in our silent auction.
Ruraq Maki is a nonprofit organization creating economic opportunities for female artisans working with traditional crafts, helping them earn a sustainable income locally and globally.
