Cartoon Camp is cooler than ever this summer in our brand new location with half & full days of drawing excitement!
The Cartoon Art Museum invites students to take part in week-long workshops dedicated to the art of cartooning.
We've organized three sessions from June to August 2018:
Week 1: June 18th - 22rd
Week 2: June 25th - 29th
Week 3: July 30st - August 3rd
Mornings are more structured and focused on standard skill building that will lead to a final project within the week as lead by Cartoon Art Museum Staff and local cartoonists.
Afternoons are more of a studio time in approach to allow students to discover their own passions and challenging themselves with guidance and support from our long time camp instructor, cartoonist and illustrator Ellis Kim (TimeFiddler.com).
Full Days mean students get the best of both worlds between structure and open exploration!
Students will also get up and move to explore the exhibitions on display and learn elements of acting for a better understanding of storytelling elements like body language, expressions and scene composition.
Those attending multiple weeks will get access to advance projects and exercises to build on learning in previous weeks.
Required Materials will be provided. Students are welcome to bring in their personal sketchbooks and materials to add to their learning experience.
